Join us as we go out into
the local community and pick up adults and children of all ages to come to
church. Adults and children from
neighboring cities and counties all ride the bus every week to come to
church. Children and their
families have been brought to church and have accepted Christ as their Savior
as a result of the Bus Ministry. |
|
The Children’s
Ministry is one of the most important ministries we have. Children of all ages are sure to find
a place here at Kenwood. We have
two Sunday morning church services designed especially for children. Our Nursery is staffed with nurturing
and caring ladies who handle newborns to 3 year olds. |
|
In the Summer we start “Thursday
Night Family Visitation.” We canvas the local area with information
about us and invite them to attend church on Sunday. In the Winter we visit the local
community and fellow members encouraging them, keeping them up to date on our
activities, as well as visiting the sick in the hospital. |

Every week we have at least
three different services in the surrounding county jails. Not only do we cover the local county
jails we also spend time at the Youth Detention Centers witnessing and
preaching to today’s youth.
Time after time and week after week many of the lost in jail come to
know Jesus Christ as their Savior. |
|
Our Adult Choir is
dedicated to traditional uplifting hymns, choruses and special music that
bring honor and glory to Jesus. The
Choir sings every week as well as special services here and other local area church
functions. Each service we have
special music that is also performed by a number of different members. |
|
Join us as we make a
difference in the lives of our older generation every week as we hold services
at the Christian City Nursing Home every Sunday night. This ministry has proven to be one of
our most effective and rewarding because of the people we have the
opportunity to meet and fellowship with every week. |

We believe that a thriving
Sunday School program is at the heart of a growing church. We have many
different types of Sunday School classes for all age groups. We have a child’s
class for each grade level, SOLID, our teen ministry, Young Couples Class, New
Members Class, Auditorium Class, and our Senior Adult class, so come join us. |
